This is a beautiful Polyphon Style 45 music box, often referred to as the "Subline Harmonie Piccolo", playing 15 - 3/4" discs with 154 teeth and duplex comb. This music box is marked for the Imhof & Mukle company, at this time based in London, who may have commissioned the box for a customer or possibly contributed to the beautiful walnut case with stunning floral inlay in the lid. Condition shows signs of very little wear, with a beautiful finish to the walnut case, and original inner lid graphic of cherub-like children playing in a garden. A beautiful example of a Polyphon Style 45 with a great selection of discs.
