Rare & Early 18K Yellow Gold George Lepper, Belfast Open Face Cased Fusee Pocket Watch, Circa 1800. Key wind, key set. The outer case/housing measures 58mm in diameter, and is fully marked. Lion's head: London. Crown over 18: 750/1000 Fineness. Capitol E in box: 1800 Date mark. PD: Maker's mark, unknown. The inner case shares the same hallmarks. White enameled porcelain dial with black roman numerals and gold whip style minute hand. There is a chip to the dial at the four o'clock position. The watch is missing the hour hand as well as the crystal. The fusee movement is marked "Geo. Lepper Belfast" and numbered "793". It has been tested, and is currently running, although no key included in this lot. Gross weight is 134.8 grams.
