This lot consists of a gentleman's 18K yellow gold, violetish blue sapphire and diamond ring, size 13-1/4. This ring, has a total dwt of 5.7 and is stamped "18K 750 442" on the interior of the band. Surrounding the violetish blue oval modified brilliant and step cut ring are approximately 20 channel set round brilliant diamonds. There is approximately 0.42 points worth of diamonds in this ring. This ring is accompanied by a GIA Sapphire Origin Report Certification (GIA report number 218353098), dated June 2017. As noted in the GIA report, this sapphire is a transparent violetish blue natural corundum and natural sapphire. It is an oval modified brilliant and step cut with no indications of heating. The sapphire is 8.96 grams and has the following measurements: 11.00 x 7.50 x 4.85 mm. GIA believes that the sapphire has a geographic origin of Sri Lanka. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
