Standard configuration Patton saber with "U.S. / (Eagle Head) / No 13" on right side of ricasso, left side with "L.F. (Flaming Bomb) & C / 1918". CONDITION: Blade with some staining on right side and some nicks on both edges. Cup is good with some scattered marks from use. Scabbard is good, throat with some minor flaking to oxidized metal. Olive drab painted canvas body is good with remnants of writing, probably a rack number. Drag with paint flaking to oxidized metal. A nice example of the last Army saber. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of George M. Rapport. EW.
