19th century, each with a triangular blade, the first, Sheffield 1877, to T H Sidebottom MP for laying a stone at Oddfellows Hall. Staleybridge, and with a carved ivory handle; the second, Sheffield 1904, Walker & Hall, to Sir Henry Scott for laying the first stone of the Northumberland War Memorial, with a plain ivory handle (crack); the third, Birmingham 1864, to Joseph Spence for stone laying, with a large chased handle.
