The Jockey trade stimulator was introduced to the gambling and counter game industry in 1909 by several manufacturers including Caille and The Mills Novelty Company. This version, manufactured by the Automatic Machine & Tool Company was produced in far fewer numbers and is much more difficult to locate. The cabinet is composed of oak with hand-carved details on the front and sides. The metal plating and marquee is with a nickel finish and features an embossed horse above the coin entry. An interesting element about this machine is the three person game play, with winnings of up to 100 cigars. This example has an early refinished cabinet and original card reels, and a fantastic overall patina. A wonderful example of this difficult trade stimulator to find. In working condition and with key.
