Lincoln mourning badge consisting of a black crepe cockade with white silk ribbons extending at bottom from under a gem size matted albumen portrait of Lincoln at center. Mounted in modern wood fame with the past 50 years with paper backing captioned in slightly faded black in, "Worn at Abraham Lincoln's Funeral / April 1865 / By J. B. Miller." Miller is not identified, but the badge is typical of those worn during the mourning period for Lincoln and funeral ceremonies held in different major cities. CONDITION: Very good. Not examined out of frame. Tiny foxing spots to photograph. Minor stains and very slight fraying to ribbons. Cockade shows small holes from stitching to a coat.
