Provenance: Acquired from the artist by Nicholas Guppy, London 1970; Taylor Robinson, Dublin, Ohio, 2000; Von Allen Gallery, Palm Springs, California, 2004; Private Collection.

Note: This lot is has been registered with the Calder Foundation under application number A14437. It is also accompanied by a photocopy of a letter from English art collector and environmentalist Nicholas Guppy to Mr. Taylor Robison, dated 2000, stating he "bought directly from Mr. Alexander Calder while I was staying as his guest in his house at Sache, near Azay-le-Rideau in Touraine in France, I believe in the year 1970." Also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Albert Allen, Director of the Von Allen Gallery, dated 2004.
