Although not a rare doll, this is an especially pretty doll with head incised "Made in Germany 390 A 12 M". It has brown glass sleep eyes, well-painted upper and lower lashes as well as still retaining the original silk upper lashes, nicely feathered brows, having an open mouth with four upper teeth and deep dimple in chin. She is on the original fully-jointed wooden composition body with original finish (slightly over-strung),wearing a very nice blonde mohair center-part wig, the original cotton and lace dress, long stockings, and nice black oil cloth shoes. There is a slight crack in the center of the back in the composition, perhaps due to the excessive tightness of the elastic stringing within. Very slight cheek rub on the center on the right; the cardboard pate is glued very, very tightly to the head and is unable to be removed, and doing so would totally destroy the nice blonde mohair wig on top, which is one of the highlights and selling points of the doll. As such, we have looked the best we can and found no damage, but have been unable to put a light inside the head due to the inability to remove the pate.
