A Rare Monumental “Gres Bijou” example. Applied enameled butterflies, insects, and webs with inset jewels and iridized glazes. Amphora Oval mark, impressed 3728-D RSTK mark. 18 - 3/4" high. This vase is illustrated in "Monsters and Maidens: Collectors Edition", Vreeland, page 262. Similar examples of the “Gres Bijou” decoration is illustrated in "The House of Amphora", Scott, pages 180-181. Circa 1904.
