45cm blade with double hi and ko-choji hamon. Nakago is ubu with one mekugi-ana. Hi extends part way into the nakago. Iron soten style tsuba with samurai, copper faces with gilt highlights. Shakudo nanako fuchi kashira chased in relief with samurai at the Oshino bridge. Gilt menuki with arrows, bows, and kabuto. Kozuka with roosters and a priest on a shakudo nanko ground with gilt highlights. Signed kozuka blade. Good lacquer scabbard with wood grain pattern. CONDITION: Blade is in fair state of polish with scratches toward boshi. Some very minor shintetsu and one micro wari in the ha itself. Tsuba has been cleaned. Fuchikashura in good condition. Tsukamaki unravelling at kashura and of more modern origin. Kozuka slightly worn. Lacquer scabbard in fine condition with only minor marks. MZ
