This lot consists of a platinum, Alexandrite and diamond ring, size 7-1/2. The ring has a total dwt of 6.3. Present on the ring is a large Alexandrite in the center of the ring, with a halo of round brilliant diamonds and diamonds that flow to the shank of the ring. The following is stamped on the interior of the band: "Orianne PT950 AL6.61ct D0.80ct." This ring is accompanied by a GIA Alexandrite Report (GIA Report Number: 6225950875) and an AIG Gem Laboratory Report (Trace No: RN020958 and Appraisal No: 000716306069), both dated 2016. The GIA report (dated June 2016) notes that the oval shaped Alexandrite is a modified brilliant and step cut, natural chrysoberyl and natural Alexandrite. When the stone was loose, it was noted as being 6.61 carats with the following measurements: 14.02 x 11.46 x 5.21 mm. GIA noted the color change that is present in Alexandrites, this stone goes from yellowish green to yellowish brown. The AIG Gem Laboratory report (dated November 2016) was intended for the use of an estimated retail value report. This report notes that the Alexandrite is a type II stone. Here they note that there are approximately 60 round brilliant cut diamonds present on the ring, with an approximate weight of 0.80 carats. The diamonds, graded in the setting, are VS1 to VS2 in clarity and D to F in color. The total weight of the ring is 9.74 gm. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
