A beautiful number plate from the Boston and Maine Railroad's famed P-4 class 4-6-2 pacific passenger locomotives. 3719 was the last P-4 constructed for the B&M by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1934. Separately applied numbers, old black paint, casting No. "54 M 12", has chain attached for hanging. Face of plate has old gloss black field paint and polished bronze numerals are tarnished. Measures 17 - 1/2" long by 6 - 1/4" wide excluding mounting bracket.
