British World War I Royal Navy battle ensign. Consigner states that the flag was from the Renown-class battlecruiser HMS Renown and obtained it from a gentleman whose grandfather had served aboard the Renown during the First World War. HMS Renown was the lead ship of her class of battlecruisers of the Royal Navy built during World War I. The ensign measures approximately 10' x 4' and is constructed of heavy bunting. No visible markings. Areas where colors have bled with scattered blemishes from age and wear. A nice example of a British naval ensign which would compliment a WWI naval display. CONDITION: Good.
