Wooden case lid has presentation plaque that reads "To Col. F.A. Tencate, By his friends as a tribute to his worth. Sept. 1874.". Case has blue velvet lining and includes two photos, two ribbons, a leather sword bag that reads "Tencate, Phoenixville, PA", and one presentation sword and scabbard. Sword bag has one hole and sword has nice etching of flags, drums, crested eagles, and bugles. Sword handle in inscribed "J.P." Benkard, N.G.N.Y". Ribbons include June 19, Valley Forge Centennial Celebration and Reeves Park Assoc. 1878 Members Ribbon. Overall a great lot of Civil War relics.
