The shield is decorated with a scene of a guardian angel hovering over two children who stray near a cliff in a forest. The scene is framed with a boarder of ivy leaves and vines. Shield stands on the pedestal base with a screw to hold in the shield. Intricate carving is displayed throughout this piece. There is a minor chip but no cracks. CORRECTION: Title updated
