Ivory soldier holds a cross and a sword. The figure may perhaps represent Joan of Arc. The bottom portion opens to reveal a battle scene with men fighting, and two religious figures flanking it carved into the portions that fold out. The ivory is 10" tall, not including the 3" wooden base.
