Early 20th century. The dial marked "BLAIR & CRAWFORD PHILADELPHIA". The bonnet with swan's neck pediment alternating with ball and spire finials above the foliate and shell carved frieze over an astragal arched glass panel door flanked by free-standing columns, and joined to the waisted case with cove-molded frieze. The waist door with beveled glass panel above a cove-molded box base with recessed shell-carved panel and scrolling ribbons on a molded plinth raised on paw feet. The case sides with recessed molded panels. The German movement marked "ELITE". The clock face, a combination of brass and silvered brass with Arabic numeral chapter ring and sweep seconds dial over a subsidiary calendar dial with a name plaque above the numeral six, "BLAIR & CRAWFORD PHILADELPHIA". A moon phase dial in the arch. The eight day time and strike movement driven by two weights, the center of the dial with time and strike apertures. The clock is offered with original pendulum and brass-clad bob with winder, two weights, and key. The movement striking on a gong. Very fine original condition with nice rich reddish-brown patina. Movement is clean and operational. Very fine condition throughout.
