Highly recognizable and somewhat ubiquitous sculpture by American artist C.E. Dallin. This piece was used in the logo of the Beach Boys label, Brother Records. The original was cast as a monumental piece in Paris in 1909 and now graces the grounds of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. This subject is one of a four piece series entitled "The Epic of the Indian", an homage to a way of life that disappeared during his lifetime. Dallin created numerous large sculptures including the Gen. Winfield Scott monument at Gettysburg and the Angel Moroni mounted on the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, and countless medals and medallions. Inscribed: 3/ (almost imperceptible) CE Dallin 3/100 in bronze base. The unusual polychromatic patina of amber, black and grey (feathers in head dress) enhance the detail of this very fine casting.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: 17" x 18".
