A spectacular silver mounted parade saddle with extensive leather carving and engraved silverwork. The saddle is marked "KARL'S SEATTLE" which Don Ellis worked for. Saddle is mounted with sterling silver on pommel, swell, cantle, skirts, fenders, and tapadero. The engraving on the silver is superbly executed in a scroll and floral pattern with geometric designs incorporated. Silver monogram on the tapadero is a circle with JM on the inside. Leather work is a floral motif that covers 80% of the saddle. Comes with a black and white saddle pad and a parade drop that is not maker marked. The metal work on the drop is nickel plated and almost matches the saddle. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Saddle shows very little wear and is in very good condition. Sheepskin liner is intact and shows very little sweat stain. A wonderful example of the saddle makers art, worthy of the finest collection. REW
