German bisque socket head incised “SH 1009 Dep 14” by Simon & Halbig (head very dirty inside, cheek rub, light speckling), flat multi-stroked eyebrows, painted upper and lower eyelashes, sleeping eyes, open mouth with upper teeth, lip shading strokes, pierced ears, replaced wig; original early composition and wood jointed body with original finish (one wrist needs repair, wear at joints, repair at neck socket of torso, cracks on lower leg); redressed. Beautiful early model, seldom found in this large size!
