This lot consists of an emerald and diamond ring, set in platinum, size 7-1/2. The ring has a total dwt of 5.3 and the following is stamped on the interior of the band: "D1.52ct Orianne PT950." This ring is accompanied by an AIG Gem Laboratory report dated April 2017 (Trace No. RN021738 and Appraisal No. 000717114001). The report is for an estimated retail value appraisal. Included in this report, is the notation that the ring is comprised of a platinum band with an emerald and round brilliant cut diamonds. The emerald is a rectangular step cut natural emerald that is approximately 1.84 carats. The AIG report notes that the emerald is a Type III emerald, which they believe means the following: "Gemstones that are usually heavily included (Emerald and Pink Tourmaline)." AIG also notes that the emerald is moderately included with a medium dark and moderately strong with a bluish green coloring. Surrounding the emerald, are approximately 94 round brilliant diamonds that have an approximate total of 1.52 carats. They note that these diamonds, which were graded in the setting, have a clarity rage from VS1 to VS2 and color of D to F. The report notes that the ring has a total weight of 8.22 gm. Overall the piece is in good condition with normal wear present.
