Archival framed Civil War Naval Appointment by President Abraham Lincoln. Site 13 1/2" x 17". Overall 23 3/4" x 27 1/2". April 1st, 1862. President Lincoln appoints William T. Plant as "an Assistant Surgeon in the Navy". Signed by President Abraham Lincoln. Counter signed by Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles. CONDITION: Good. Document has light overall discoloration and several separations along the center. Surface of the Naval seal is worn off. The frame has a few edge scratches. CG
