Housed in a period frame, marked in the lower left-hand corner "Kaufmann & Strauss Co. N.Y. 1154" and lower right-hand corner "Copyright 1909 by E. Hoffman & Co.". A fantastic image of five gentlemen in a gambling parlor being served the product, Stein Club Cigars. Great, strong colors, highly detailed graphics, a fantastic addition to any saloon, gambling or advertising collection. Obviously a high end period gambling hall backdrop, with brightly dressed affluent gentlemen. Colors are unusually pastel type and very uncommon for the time period of this sign, a three dimensional look unlike most lithographed tin signs this early. This tin sign has very light non-distracting surface scratches, the biggest one being between the "T" and the "E" in "Stein Club", a barely noticeable 1/2" scratch. Superb shine and color. Hard pressed to ever upgrade this iconic piece.
