This fine original Colt factory casing for a Model 1860 Army is in overall very good to excellent condition, all partitions are intact, wine red lining is original with some fading from age. Colt's patent slant charger Navy flask is in excellent condition; retaining most of the original lacquer and gilt finishes to spout and mechanism. Colt's patent Army mold retains nearly all of the original bluing with some bright blue on the sprue. Original nipple wrench retains most of the original niter bright bluing. Eley caps retains most of the original label though torn. Case itself has most of the original varnish, which showing some wear and use from age. Altogether, a very fine case, suitable for a superb engraved Colt 1860 Army.
