Third quarter 19th century, American. Probably New York. The floral and foliate crest with pierce-carved C-scrolls over three shaped graduated shelves with molded edges on conforming carved supports; all backed by a mirror plate and joined to the central top fitted with a shell carved drawer in the apron. The drawer with satin wood interior. The whole raised on cabriole legs, piece-covered with leaf tips and scrolled volutes, the rear legs with solid back and all joined to a shaped lower shelf. 78" tall, 60" wide and 22" deep. The surfaces with well maintained French polish finish. Some minor cosmetic restoration to shelf supports, mirror plate clean. Rosewood veneers intact and stable. Generally good to very good condition.
