German World War II M42 single decal helmet marked "ckl66" for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale", in a shell size of 66, with a lot number of "2531" (very faint). Shell retains 50-55% of its original rough gray-green paint, with the usual light paint freckles/ streaks, heavy freckling, and dirt. Interior retains approximately 60% of its rough gray-green finish, with the remaining areas freckled and dirty. Heer decal is in approximately 65% condition with faint worn details, and with a worn coat of lacquer on the undamaged areas. Original zinc liner band is present, and may have been swapped out, based on an inspection of the 3 rivets. Liner is present with moderate to heavy wear, and has been heavily oiled. An postwar drawstring is present, and it is affixed through 5 of the 8 tongues, as the other are damaged. No chinstrap is present. CONDITION: Overall good. WEZ
