Handel table lamp has reverse painted shade of a Venetian harbor scene with boats at sail in the harbor and buildings in the background, all set against a mottled yellow and blue sky. The exterior of the shade is finished in chipped ice. Shade is signed on inside rim "27. HANDEL. 5935.". The shade rests on an original Handel base with square foot and bulbous body with riser leading to a three-socket cluster and fleur-de-lis cap. The base is finished with a rich reddish-brown, signed on the side of foot "HANDEL". Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good with some minor wear, discoloration and pitting to finish. Rewired with contemporary plastic cord.
