A mid-late 19th century fine glazed oriental ceramic tea bowl produced by an Edo (Tokyo) potter, working in Ogata Kenzan (1663 - 1743) or Nin'ami Dohachi (1783 - 1855) inspired styles. A well-balanced handmade tea bowl with slightly irregular form. The exterior surface is covered with a greyish-white and brown high glaze. On the top, the artist applied a complex color decoration. A bold Japanese geomantic calendar is shown on one side of the bowl, complemented by a dripping lava form glaze on the other. A very attractive piece for meditation. Condition: Age-related glaze crazing throughout. Otherwise, in excellent condition.

Condition: (Excellent).

Item Dimensions: 4" x 4" x 3".
IN STYLE OF NINAMI DOHACHI (1783 - 1855) JAPANESE TEA BOWL.
