Mid 18th century. Probably Italy. This fine cabinet with scrolled lozenge cresting and foliate molded edges over the shaped frieze. The cabinet with canted sides fitted with glass panels framed by flattened scalloped supports at the rear and fitted with iron carrying handles on the sides. The narrow pilasters shaped and foliate carved framing the rectangular front glass panel. The undulating ogee molded apron with scalloped edges which is mirrored at the rear edges of the cabinet. The whole raised on scrolled, molded, and turned rolled feet forming volutes at the sides. The vitrine is accessed through an unfinished panel door hung on forged ring hinges and fitted with original iron lock.The vitrine with wonderful patina and polished surface. Cabinet has a simple clear glass shelf of later vintage. Very good to excellent condition overall.
