Measures 26 - 3/16" from tip of kissaki to munemachi. Classic shinogi zukuri form with iori mune. Oil quenched gunome hamon. Ko-maru boshi. Copper catscratch habaki. Left side of blade is inscribed "Sincerely presented by Mr. Zhonghui and Chen Huicun" in Chinese characters. Ha agari kurijiri nakagojiri with takanoha yasurime. Katana mei signed Kaneyoshi. Single mekugi-ana, drilled. Fuchi, kashira, and tsuba are civilian mounts with florals, a beetle, and a dragonfly. Fuchi has a name on top, heavily softened (fuchi appears cast, but houses the saya snap catch and to prevent further damage, we have elected to leave it), reading Ichi (illegible) saku. Saya with single hanger and wrapped in leather with a snap catch. Sea green tsuka-ito, shi-shi dog menuki, and rayskin same. CONDITION: Very good. Blade is in good polish with features visible, and some spotted mossing, primariyl to right side, and some surface scratches. Mounts are good with some expected rubbing from age but complete; snap catch leather was broken and repaired. Saya has numerous scrapes and a few missing nips from edges, but solid.
