Circa 1970s-80s. Replica of the famous bowie knife presented by Rezin Bowie to Jesse Perkins in 1831, the original of which is in the Museum of Mississippi History in Jackson. 10 - 1/4" heavy straight-backed blade with forged bolster, the ferrule of which is stamped "LILE" and "5" on the reverse, and on the obverse "5 of 6". Octagonal ebony handle, nickel silver ferrule and pommel, 3 pins with brass washers. 15 - 1/4". Nickel silver sheath with frog stud. CONDITION: Pommel is heavily tarnished, all else in near mint condition. Formerly part of the Tommie Jones collection.
