Circa 1929. Corsaut's bronze brings out the natural stature of the "Duke" in a pose well-known to fans of John Wayne. This is Wayne as cattleman Thomas Dunson from the classic Howard Hawks western, "Red River". Inscribed: J. CORSAUT on right pant cuff. A nice re-casting in tones of dark brown patina on a wood base.
