Lot consists of (A) M1917 gas mask in carry bag named on the bottom to "Wm. Mossely 112252 / 15Co. 6MG Bn". (B) M1917 gas mask in green carry bag dated 1922 stamped "RL THORNTON". (C) M1917 gas mask carry bag. (D) US Army M6 lightweight optical mask carry bag. (E) US Navy Mark IV gas mask in carry bag with spare Type B-2 canister. (F) US Navy Mark I gas mask in carry bag. (G) US Navy Mark IV gas mask in original wrapping, contained in carry bag. (H) M17 gas mask contained in original carry bag. (I) US Army M3 gasmask with carry bag. (J) US Army light weight M4 gas mask in carry bag. (K) M17 gas mask in carry bag complete with contents and dated 1963. (L) M9A1 gas mask in carry bag. (M) Type B-2 canister for the US Navy Mark IV gas mask. Most gas masks are in excellent condition. The older gas masks, especially from the World War I era are dry, yet some are still pliable. The World War II and post-World War II gasmasks are all pliable and flex with ease. All lenses are intact. Some carry bags exhibit blemishes while others remain clean. This is an excellent collection that contains a variety of models of US military gas masks. CONDITION: Good-excellent. JLD
