Lot contains: A) Victorian 98th Regiment of Foot home service helmet with gilded brass spike, front plate and fittings. Leather and silk sweatband, green visor facings. CONDITION: Excellent, missing its chain. B) Victorian officer's forage cap to the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment. Dark blue wool, acorn and oak leaf black lace, and large gold bullion badge of the crest of the Duke of Wellington, gold trim on the leather visor. Interior with quilted silk lining with (worn) makers mark "J. Hamilton, Manchester", leather sweatband. CONDITION: Exterior in excellent condition, interior shows moderate service wear. C) Pre-WWII Royal Artillery officer's visor cap with "Hawkes & Co Ltd Savile Row W." interior label. CONDITION: The red piping and band show mothing. D) 1920's RAF full dress busby. The body is of black leather, trimmed with dyed rabbit fur, gold and blue plaited lace cord, silver and gilt Royal Air Force Crest and a plume of dyed ostrich feathers. Quilted silk lining with brown leather sweatband and black patent leather chin strap. The lining complete with tailor’s label of "Hawkes & Co Ltd Savile Row W.". CONDITION: Excellent. E) World War II period RAF Enlisted Garrison Cap. CONDITION: Excellent. F) Officers Garrison Cap of black wool with yellow trim and regimental buttons on the front. CONDITION: Excellent. G) Officers RAF Garrison Cap with replaced front buttons. CONDITION: Excellent. H) Brown Wool Beret with Army Catering Corps hat badge dated 1945. CONDITION: Excellent. I) Pith Helmet, private purchase, interior label reads "Out Fitters/ To The/ Military/ Made in India". The front displays a Dragoon Guards hat badge. CONDITION: Excellent. J) 1960's RCMP women's cap.
