Lot consists of: (A) Framed patriotic tapestry which features a Federal Eagle perched atop a US shield as it watches over a US warship. Several other eagles take flight towards the bottom right corner and the eagle is contained in a foliate vignette which is surrounded by a light blue background. The top features 2 eagles on US shields with 2 eagles wrapped around a waving American flag at the bottom. The tapestry is contained in a tasteful rustic wood frame which measures approximately 44" x 26 - 3/4". CONDITION: Colors remains vibrant. Scattered blemishes to the glass and wear exhibited on the frame which adds to the character. Overall very good. (B) Francis West oil painting on paper titled "H.M.S. King George V Pursuing the Bismark", signed by Francis West and dated 1940 in the lower right corner. Elegantly created with the furious battleship smashing through feeble waves. Ornate wood frame compliments the art. CONDITION: Vibrant colors with several blemishes near the top. Scattered blemishes to the glass and frame. Reverse was sliced open which did not damage the artwork. Overall very good.
