The first is a 15" French Fashion commissioned from Barrois in 1865. Bisque shoulder head, blue enamel set almond shaped eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears, human hair wig over cork pate, early kid body with gusset jointed hips and knees, one piece arms with stitched and separated fingers, period white gown with trim, sleeves, underwear, silk bonnet, leather boots signed "J". There are no marks. In excellent condition, she is missing a finger on the right hand. The second doll is a 14" French Fashion #1, disc swivel head on shoulder plate, brown stationary eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears, cork pate with blonde wig, all kid body with wired fingers, redressed as a nursemaid in red striped dress with white lace trimmed apron and cap, brown leather shoes, tucked petticoat, laced stockings. Holding a small porcelain doll dressed as a baby. Marked on head "1", marked on shoes "1". In excellent condition.
