Lot contains: (A) German World War II Heer M40 single decal helmet marked "hkp62" for the maker "Sachsische Emailler und Stanzwerke A.G." in a shell size of"62", and with a lot number of "1001". Shell exterior retains 65-70% of its rough gray-green paint with scattered marks and freckling. Interior retains 85-90% of its smoother gray-green paint. Heer decal rates approximately 65% with lacquer present on the undamaged areas. Zinc liner band is present with untouched rivets, and only rim remnants of the leather liner are attached. No chinstrap is present. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent with missing liner. (B) Luftschutz "beaded" M40 steel helmet marked "NS64" for the maker "Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke / Schwerte" in a shell size of "64", and with a lot number of "D112". Shell exterior retains 85-90% of its dull dark blue-gray paint with scattered marks. Interior retains 80-85% with an area of freckling in the crown. Luftschutz decal rates approximately 90% with lacquer present. Tan leather liner has moderate staining and flaking around it rim, and is size marked "57". Liner has its 4 pads between the shell, drawstring is missing, and only a small remnant of the chinstrap remains. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
