Lot consists of: (A) Excellent example of a late World War II rear seam swivel bale helmet with equally excellent liner. The heat stamp remains clear and reads "1218H". The liner is marked with the "CAPAC" cross and the number "8". The helmet shell is in excellent condition and retains almost all of its original paint. There are a few scratches on the exterior of the helmet. The khaki canvas chinstraps are clean with no signs of fraying. Liner is in equally excellent condition with most of its original paint and only displays a few blemishes from being removed from the helmet. The interior is clean and the liner webbing is dated "1945". The leather components are pliable with a crack in the chinstrap. This helmet is in near unissued condition. CONDITION: Excellent. (B) Excellent example of a World War II front seam swivel bale helmet with equally excellent liner. The heat stamp is obscured by paint. The liner is marked with the International Molded Plastics logo and the number "8". The helmet shell is in excellent condition and retains almost all of its original dark green paint. There are a few scratches on the exterior of the helmet. The OD canvas chinstraps are clean with no signs of fraying. Liner is in equally excellent condition with most of its original paint and only displays a few blemishes. the interior is clean and the leather components are pliable. CONDITION: Excellent. These helmets are some of the cleanest swivel bale helmets and will be hard to top. JLD
