Lot consists of: (A) WWI P1912 U.S. Marine Corps Canteen Cover with EGA Snaps and 1918 dated canteen and cup. The cover is the correct early olive green color with contrasting khaki trim. The belt hook is mounted high on the back which was the style that was adopted by the Marine Corps. The cover is very clean and only exhibits slight blemishes and wear while the USMC snaps are intact and functional. The canteen is marked "US / AGM Co / 1918" and is contained in the cover with a cup that is marked "U.S. / L.F. & C. / 1918". The cup and canteen exhibit typical signs of wear including scratches, scuffs, and dents. Overall very good. (B) Unmarked khaki M1909 nine pocket cartridge belt with EGA snaps and distinctive wrinkled bottom with single grommets. These belts were the precursor to the M1910 belts and were used by the Marines from 1909-1912. Some of the EGA snaps are tarnished but all are properly functioning.
