Lot consists of: (A) West Kent Militia steel die used for making militia cap plates. The die is heavy and measures approximately 4 - 1/4" x 3 - 3/4" x 2 - 1/4". Stamped "POWELL / BIRM" on the left side. CONDITION: Nice patina with obvious casting marks. Light surface rust on bottom. Overall good. (B) Dug circa early-mid 19th century 67th South Hampshire Regiment of Foot cap plate. Constructed of brass, the plate measures approximately 4 - 1/2" tall x 3" wide and is in 3 pieces. Consigner states that the plate was dug at the Waterloo Battlefield, France, circa 1906. CONDITION: Relic. (C) Dug circa mid-late 19th century 1st West India Regiment cap plate. Constructed of brass, the plate measures approximately 5 - 1/2" x 5" and is in 5 pieces. CONDITION: Relic.
