Lot consists of: (A) Form pressed, embossed silver dirk with entire hilt crafted of silver. Elegant 5-ball pommel that resembles a knight's helmet forms into the center swelled grip that is decorated with simulated scales. An impressed escutcheon bears the initials "PBH". Equally ornate ferrule which meets the scabbard keeper that is adorned with individual pointed leaves. Blade measures approximately 6" with floral and patriotic motifs on either side. Complete with scabbard that exhibits matching ornate floral decorations on one side and a carry stud adorned with a flower. Blade and scabbard are both marked with the numbers "527". This dirk is pictured as Fig. 77 in "Silver Mounted Swords The Lattimer Family Collection". CONDITION: Nice light patina overall with evidence of an early cleaning. Blade exhibits faded decorations and significant edge wear. Scabbard decorations are crisp and attractive. 2" crack on scabbard. (B) Ornate dirk with solid silver hilt and silver plated scabbard. Elegant 5-ball pommel that resembles a knight's helmet which forms into the center swelled grip that is decorated with simulated scales. Blank escutcheon at center. Equally ornate ferrule which meets the scabbard keeper that is adorned with individual pointed leaves. Blade measures approximately 5 - 1/2" with elegantly frosted foliate and naval motifs. Complete with matching scabbard that exhibits floral decorations on one side and an adorned carry stud. Blade and scabbard are both marked with the numbers "404". This dirk is pictured as Fig. 76 in "Silver Mounted Swords The Lattimer Family Collection". CONDITION: Blade remains bright with crisp decorations. Scabbard keeper is slightly bent on one side. Nice light patina to hilt and scabbard. Slight dents to scabbard. (C) Small English silver dirk with 1-piece mother of pearl grip. Scabbard keeper is adorned with individual pointed leaves. Blade measures approximately 5" with elegantly frosted foliate and naval motifs. Complete with matching scabbard that exhibits floral decorations on 1 side and an adorned carry stud. Blade and scabbard are both marked with the numbers "351". This dirk is pictured as Fig. 69 in "Silver Mounted Swords The Lattimer Family Collection". CONDITION: Blade exhibits a nice patina with crisp motifs. Grip exhibits slight tarnishing. Scabbard features a nice patina with scattered wear. All dirks were formerly part of the renowned John K. Lattimer Collection.
