Lot contains: A) Visor Cap with cloth covered visor, R.F.C. side buttons and R.F.C. cap badge. CONDITION: Wool exterior exhibits scattered wear and small holes, interior leather sweatband is in very good condition, tightly stitched to the body, oilcloth crown lining shows damage and losses. B) RAF Group Captain’s cap with gold bullion leaves embroidered onto the leather visor. Crown lining displays a label from "H. Star & Son Montreal - Halifax". CONDITION: Wool body is undamaged but slightly soiled, interior leather sweatband is partially detached. C) World War I Period RAF cloth covered visor cap. CONDITION: Exterior in very good condition with minor wear but no damage, interior leather sweatband and quilted black cotton liner intact and in very good condition. D) Current British RAF dress cap with bullion badge and gold visor trim. CONDITION: New, unused condition. From the Ray Bentley collection.
