Lot contains: (A) Heer Lion Head sword, (B) Polizei Degen, (C) World War II Japanese NCO Katana, and (D) Contemporary US Navy officer sword. (A) Heer Officer deluxe Lion Head sword with "Eickhorn, Solingen" marked 30" near mint nickel plated blade, with very light runner and scattered marks. Lion head has red ruby eyes, and brass fittings have 70-80% of their gilt finish remaining. Wire-wrapped black trylon grip is near mint. A near mint portepee is attached. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 85-90% of its original black painted finish, with scattered marks and freckling throughout. CONDITION: Overall excellent to near mint. (B) Polizei Degen with a "Krebs, Solingen" 31-1/2" marked blade with light runner scattered marks. Approximately 10% had freckling which appears to have been polished. Steel fittings are nickel plated with patina and freckling, and retain 75-80% of their finish, and the black finish on the grip is worn off on the raised ribs. Lower grip fitting retains 60-65% of its finish, with an aluminum police eagle. A portepee in very good condition is attached. Steel scabbard retains approximately 35% of its original black painted finish with freckling and scattered marks. Nickel plated throat fitting retains 80-85% of its finish. Scabbard has a noticeable dent 4" from its tip. CONDITION: Overall very good. WZ
