Lot contains (A) Luftwaffe dagger, (B) Kriegsmarine double-etched dagger, (C) Folding knife, and (D) Etched dress bayonet. (A) Luftwaffe dagger with a nickel plated unmarked blade with light scattered marks, and staining and light freckling to approximately 20% of the blade. Aluminum fittings show moderate patina and aging, and are loose. Wire-wrapped white trylon grip exhibits light staining. Damaged portepee is attached. Later quality scabbard and fittings have no finish remaining with a nice patina, and light freckling near the throat. Deluxe hanger with moderate patina to the fittings is attached. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Kriegsmarine dagger with a double-etched blade marked nickel plated blade marked "Eickhorn, Solingen", with scattered light marks and some very light areas of freckling. Etching is of a very high quality. Gilded brass fittings retain approximately 80% of their original finish, and the brass wire-wrapped trylon grip is undamaged. A lightly worn portepee is attached. Gilded hammered brass scabbard retains 90-95% of its finish. CONDITION: Overall excellent to near mint. (C) Folding knife with a nickel plated blade marked "Farge, Chatellera" with moderate scattered marks and staining. Stag grip is undamaged with plated fittings. Light brown leather sheath is included. CONDITION: Its exact origin and use is unknown. Overall very good to excellent. (D) Dress bayonet with an unmarked nickelplated single-side etched blade, with light scattered marks, and some light freckling on the forward edge near the tip. Blade is etched "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit beim Art. Rgt. 60" which translates to "In memory of my duty time with Artillery Regiment 60". Nickel plated fittings retain more than 90% of their original finish, and have light scattered marks overall. Black grips are intact with freckling to the screws. Steel scabbard retains more than 90% of its orignal black painted finish, with freckling in the worn areas. Black leather frog is cracked and dry. A fire department porteppee is attached with light wear. CONDITION: not common to see a dress dagger attributed to a particular unit. Overall excellent.
