Lot consists of (A) US Model 1873 trowel bayonet complete with leather scabbard and wooden handle plug insert. CONDITION: The blade has a nice gray patina and displays some blemishes and light pitting. The leather scabbard exhibits cracking and scuffing especially on the belt loop. Some verdigris is present. Overall good. (B) Springfield Armory Model 1873 entrenching tool marked "US" on handle complete with "US" marked leather scabbard. CONDITION: The blade exhibits a nice gray patina with blemishes and light pitting. There are two drag lines present from being removed from the scabbard. The wood handle has darkened from age. The leather scabbard exhibits some scuffs and scratches with slight verdigris around the brass. Overall good. (C) M1874 McKeever cartridge box. The interior contains 2 rows of 10 canvas loops for 20 .45-70 caliber cartridges. CONDITION: The leather exhibits slight cracking but remains pliable. Overall good. (D) 1904 Rock Island Arsenal McKeever cartridge box. The interior contains 2 rows of 10 canvas loops for 20 .30 caliber rifle rounds. CONDITION: Leather remains pliable and exhibits scuffs and scratches from service wear. There is slight verdigris staining around the brass hinge and on the interior. Overall good. JLD
