Lot consists of: (A) Early 1700s Dutch brass tobacco box with perpetual calendar and ship speed scale engravings. (B) Mid-1700s brass German snuff box with very worn German soldiers and Imperial crests. (C) 6" Early 1700s Dutch copper lined brass tobacco box with religious scenes of baby and adult Moses. (D) 5 1/2" 1720s Dutch brass tobacco box with religious icons, psalms, animals, and mythical creatures. (E) 5" 1730s Dutch brass tobacco box with engraved lid featuring what appears to be peacocks and griffins or similar mythical creatures. (F) 6" finely engraved Dutch brass snuff box. Features a royal court figure, royal crests, and running dogs front and back. CONDITION: All boxes show commensurate period wear with all but one (B) showing deep engraving that is very visible. All the lids function and close properly with no significant dents. BRM.
