Lot consists of 7 World War II souvenir patch boards decorated with US Army, Marine Corps, Air Corps, and rank insignia. (A) Patch board with US army rank that ranges from private to brigadier general. Most ranks are labeled. (B) Patch board with US Army divisional insignia, starting with the 65th Infantry Division and ending with ghost armies. (C) Patch board with US Army divisional insignia, starting with the 1st Infantry Division and ending with the 63rd Infantry Division. (D) Patch board with US Army armored division insignia. (E) Patch board with service command, airborne, and FSSF insignia. (F) Patch board with US Army corps and Army Corps insignia. (G) Patch board with US Marine Corps insignia including raiders and divisional patches. The patch boards are all constructed of wood wrapped with a layer of cloth. Patches are all pinned to the boards. CONDITION: Insignia exhibits tarnishing with edge wear and staining. Paper labels exhibit yellowing, tears, and aging. These patch boards were most likely hung in a general store/military surplus store in the 1940s/1950s and display consistent age as such.
