Lot consists of 6 hard images, 13 CDVs, and 1 1864 Virginia City, NV., Wells, Fargo & Co. check. Hard images consist of 6th plate daguerreotypes of seated man and woman in half cases, seated man with cane in separated case, 6th plate ambrotype seated woman in separated case, 16th plate tintype in separated book case, CDV mounted tintype of man with Winchester in separated 9th plate case. CONDITION: Dags light with some solarization. Figure with Winchester has wrinkling to emulsion. CDVs include nice 3/4 standing Gen. Hooker by Brady, engravings of Stanton and Pleasanton, Brady/Anthony views of southerners Robert Toombs and Gustavus Smith in civilian clothes, retouched Joseph Johnston in uniform, 3 unidentified US enlisted men, one with pistol in belt, vignette bust of Dahlgren by Anthony, name on reverse in brown ink, possibly an autograph, abolitionist Wendell Phillips by Fredericks, half length seated view of US captain, Steubenville, Ohio backmark, modern pencil id as possibly George Hoge, 126 and 183 Ohio, brevet brigadier general, 1870s PA militia cavalryman with busby and saber. Lastly a check from Wells Fargo and Co. for $200 dated Virginia City, June 1861 or 1864. CONDITION: CDVS and check all very good.
