Lot consists of (A) 66cm blade of one piece oil tempered construction. The tang with one mekugi-ana and four character signature. CONDITION: Blade rates excellent in almost full polish with only extremely minor staining. The army officer's mounts rate excellent, scabbard with most of its original brown paint. Mounts in good condition, handle wrap is tight. A superior example of this popular World War II Japanese sword. (B) 60.7cm one piece water tempered suguha hamon. Tang with one mekugi-ana, two character signature. CONDITION: Blade rates excellent in almost full polish with a few minor blemishes. Mounts rate excellent. Tsuba retains most of its original gilding. Wrap slightly soiled but still phenomenal. Scabbard retains nearly all of its original paints and is void of dents. Swords even retains original lieutenant's knot. A superior piece of Japanese World War II militaria. (C) An unusual World War II wakizashi with 52.5cm blade. Appears to be of one piece oil tempered construction. Crude nakago with one mekugi-ana. Metal scabbard with leather boot. CONDITION: Good overall with no rust, some minor scratches. Leather boot missing catch. Handle is crisp. Sword retains original knot. MZ
